Diabetic Socks

Definition: Diabetic socks feature these characteristics:

  • Non-binding elastic top band
  • Non-restrictive shaft
  • Reduced friction properties
  • Seamless
  • Soft materials
  • Padding materials on the sole
  • Anti-microbial treated fibers
  • Moisture wicking properties

These features work to prevent friction, moisture, bacteria and breaks in the skin, all of which create risk to the diabetic foot.  The softness of the material creates cushioning around the foot.

Benefits: Although these socks are created with the diabetic foot in mind, they are excellent socks for anyone.  They cost more than regular socks but they also last longer.
