What’s a Smart shoe? It’s a shoe that does more than a conventional shoe. We define conventional shoes as those where the heel is higher than the toes and the soles are standard leather or molded plastic. We carry many of these and they are fine shoes (see Smart Shoe Brands for a full listing) but Smart shoes take shoes to the next level – purposefully engineered to improve posture and return proper rotation to the feet, ankles, knees and hips. To accomplish this, they may have springs in the sole, a coil at the heel or a sole that rocks from the heel to the forefoot. Some of them function as an arch support and shoe in one. All are made with the finest quality materials.
For those who wear them, they will tell you Smart shoes are literally occupation-saving, running-errands saving, exercise-saving and Disneyworld-with-the-grandkids-saving.
