Definition: A firm - rigid - arch support with rounded heel cup
gives support in the heel and longitudinal arches. This is adequate
for children under age 18 in most instances as it provides an arch for
those without one and keeps a higher arch from collapsing during the
years the foot bones are still being formed.
It does not provide the balance a 4 arch support provides, which is
key as time goes on.
Benefits: For children with flat feet and/or Sever's disease (heel pain
that resolves around age 16), these are inexpensive compared to custom
supports and do the job quite well. They are firm, not rigid, so there
is flexibility in the support.
To Purchase: Purchase includes a telephone consultation with you to
determine what is best for your (or your child's) feet. Size is based
upon tracings of both feet. This is easy to do and we tell you how to
do it when you call.
Prices and warranties: $60. 5-year warranty. Comes in black or white
color depending upon what we have available at time of purchase. Little
to no break-in required. Moves shoe to shoe and is washable with soap
and water.
